Manchester’s art pop five piece Dutch Uncles have a new album on the way, O Shudder will be the group’s fourth LP and ‘Decided Knowledge’ is the second song to be unveiled from it.
The band’s third album, the wonderful Out Of Touch In The Wild is what got me into the group, it’s an ambitious record and their use of unusual time signatures married with stunning pop melodies won me over immediately.
‘Decided Knowledge’ veers away from the sound of their previous album slightly, centred around a scything guitar riff, bubbling synths and call and response vocals, it’s reminiscent of 80’s new wave groups.
